we humans are little stupid in love and friendships

I want to tell you that you sparkled when you smiled; you looked truly amazing in my eyes when you stood up for me that day. You've always been so admirable and gorgeous through my eyes. I filter out everything bad about you because you're the most ideal friend I can’t have. I thought I had found my soulmate, but here I am, with tears slipping salty by my lips. You are someone truly incredible, and I’m losing you a little more every day. If you weren’t really my soulmate, I doubt if one even exists.

Often, you fail to tell people everything that’s hurting you—whether it’s a complaint about them or a day that left you feeling exhausted, leading you to sob on your way home. Sometimes, we fail to express what’s hurting, why it hurts, or what exactly they did. But why does this always happen with the people we love the most?

I have changed your name in my contacts every time I got angry with you. Last time, it was 'soulmate'; this time, it's just your name. I think we humans love giving nicknames and different titles to people we love, but we also tend to take them away when we get hurt. But do you know what the tragedy is? Even though you change their name in your contact list, even though you take away the nickname you once gave them in love, that name stays with you forever. You think you've made them an ordinary person after taking away the name you gave them, but they still remain a special person to you forever. That’s the tragedy; you ruin that name because, no matter what happens, it will always remind you of them—a bittersweet end, Van.

our machineries don't work when we come together. i am jealous of other machineries that actually work right with you.

I would always wonder why you and I, who were so fundamentally different, came together. You were always running away from me when you were upset, while I would run into you all the time, pestering you for what happened, asking you multiple times, and watching your silence speak to me.
